What is “OHR Technology” ?

The OHR (Original Hydrodynamic Reaction) Technology is fluid miniaturization, mixing and reaction technology.
Fluids are passed through special pipes (OHR MIXER, OHR AERATOR) and they are broken down into ultrafine particles instantaneously.
The ultrafine particles collide continuously with two unique special structures.
Thus, reaction of fluids are significantly accelerated.

Even though both the OHR MIXER and the OHR AERATOR are very simple structures, they can replace conventional high pressure,
high cost and complicated equipment.
For example, resin manufacturer S used high-pressure emulsification equipment (50MPa) exceeding $200,000 (USD) in its
production line. After a complete performance test, the equipment was replaced with the OHR MIXER for only $3,800 (USD)
(run at 0.5MPa). The mixing capability of the OHR MIXER is strong enough to be able to do the same thing as the high-pressure
emulsification equipment with only 1/100 of pressure.

The OHR AERATOR is an original air diffuser with no-clogging, maintenance-free with very strong mixing functions.
Due to its strong mixing functions, OHR AERATOR is the only air diffuser used for chemical reaction acceleration aggressively
in harsh conditions.

The Thinking Behind OHR Technology

OHR technology was created and developed all alone by a Japanese man. His name is Masahiro Takeda (1921 to 1995).
Takeda’ s technological thought is as follows. (Described in details in the Noguchi Institute Annual Report No.30 issued
by The Noguchi Institute on October 1st, 1987.)

  1. Fluid must be regarded as a cluster/continuum of fluid particles and not seen as mass of fluid.
  2. The conventional technology is limited to one of two fluids broken down into ultrafine particles, the ultrafine
    particles are carried by the fluid flows and end in a transient contact/reaction.
  3. To achieve reaction acceleration to the extent required, the fluid film resistance of fluid particles must be reduced
    as much as possible, and accordingly “time” hidden behind “reaction” must be minimized. To that end, it is required
    to minimize fluid particles and at the same time to realize physical-properties conversion by low temperature
    boiling phenomenon and mutual successive impact of particles instantly.

Takeda’ s technological thought stands out completely from the perspective of the technological history of fluid treatment.
In the creation of the following mechanisms by embodying his technological thought combined with mathematical formulae
in the form of “OHR fluid reaction technology” .

  1. The specialized structure changes the cluster/continuum of fluid into “countless particle clusters” by cutting their chains at an instantaneous in-line passing point.
  2. To make the “countless particle clusters” reciprocate in a high pressure part and negative pressure part inside the pipe in a zig-zag manner based on properties of individual particles to produce low temperature boiling, at the same time to repeat successive intense impact by reaction of centrifugal and centripetal forces.

The inside structure of the OHR special pipe is very simple and smart. However, the mechanism is truly dynamic
and intense. You will see from its remarkable performance records that the pipe is overwhelmingly superior.

OHR’ s contributions to the future

1. In the field of “Environmental Technology”

Chemicals (eg. flocculants, chlorines and refreshers) used for wastewater treatment are useful but are also associated
with harmful effects to the natural environment.
Aggressive methods dependent on chemicals are contrary to “ecology” , and cannot be said to be smart environmental
technology. OHR will continue to work on solutions to environmental problems based on OHR technology created by
Takeda who sincerely hoped to solve global environmental problems.
Those solutions are, for example, a “low cost and highly efficient ozone treatment method by use of OHR ozone
treatment method” , “substantial reduction in flocculant consumption by remarkable improvements in flotation
separation equipment” and “no-clogging, maintenance-free and effective air diffuser” .

2. In the field of “Production technology”

Today’ s production technology requires large-scale and complicated production equipment, large number of
professional engineers and massive amounts of capital.
Losses associated with mass production are also large.
However, compact and smart production equipment can be manufactured based on OHR technology, and this
enables production facilities “to be smaller and to be built in large numbers around the country,” and not
“concentrated in one location” . Losses associated with production can also be minimized. By enabling production
facilities “to be built in large numbers around the country” more flexible, strong and vibrant society can exist.

Company history

1972 Mr. Masahiro Takeda opened a “Takeda fluid Engineering Laboratory” in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo and
undertook an investigation of fluid reaction accelerator technology.
1976 Founded the OHL corporation in Meguro-ku, Tokyo and Mr. Takeda became president of the company.
OHL type original mechanism development (REACTOR, AERATOR, MIXER) was completed.
1980 At the invitation of NASA of the USA, at the University of Southern California, gave a discourse on
"OHL method fluid reaction acceleration technology" under moderated by professor Dan.
1983-1993  Mr. Takeda set up an laboratory in the Noguchi Institute (Itabashi-ku, Tokyo) and performed
various experiments and researches.
Apr. 1993 Founded the OHL Laboratory Corporation that succeed the firm of OHL corporation.
Mr. Hideto Uematsu (current president) became president of the company.
Apr. 1997 Create a marketing alliance with Seika Corporation.
May. 1997 Reorganized and renamed to OHR Corporation. (Fictitious business name is OHR Laboratory Corporation.)
